What is a WorldWalker?


A World Walker is a person who walks the world;In this case its that player who plays in the many different gaming universes borne from MMO's. This 'walker' is a role player, who will help me preach the true way of roleplaying should and does what he can to promote it in the game he or she plays.

What is the true way you ask? From one of my earlier articles ...

The answer lies in the word itself. Role playing, simply put, is ‘Playing a Role’. Many people think it’s about elaborately acting a part. Not really. Role playing is about putting yourself in someone or something else’s shoes and acting from there. Are you a dwarven warrior looking to defend your homeland? A space pirate looking to plunder any ship foolish enough to cross ‘your’ system? Maybe an evil necromancer looking to make his name in the world he calls home. All of these are roles that people play in MMORPGS but how many of them really ‘play’ these roles and how many go through the motions of the game mechanics of getting quests, killing mobs and leveling? If you role-play, you can play these roles to their fullest and make your gaming experience something else. It’s easy and its fun and you won’t look stupid or something. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain
