Though he was born the son of a great horse master and trainer, Ayden was much too headstrong and rebellious at a young age. Joining up with a group of bandits, he learned underhanded tactics and the ways of the criminal mind as a burglar.
As the young bandits grew older, their ways became more violent and during a raid he spotted none other than his father in the fray. Fear and shame filled his heart as his father lay eyes upon him. Distracted, Ayden was knocked unconscious.Coming to later that night, he awoke amongst the bandits who had been 'victorious' in their pillage. Ayden snuck away from his allies and back to where he last saw his father. The sight of his slain father sent Ayden to his knees and a terrible darkness broke over him. Ayden had been the horrible son of a great man.
He buried his father and returned to Rohan in search of his uncle, a man of law. Vowing to avenge his father, Ayden worked from within the bandit ranks to bring down the entire band and deliver them into justice. Realizing his repentance, Ayden's uncle declared him a captain, but the young man could not stay in Rohan. Turning down the chance to serve, he disappeared still baring the mark of disgrace and guilt.
Many years later, he met a good hearted man named Deathor who led a band of mercenaries. 'Heroes for Hire', he called it. They worked hard and kept only what they needed, mostly stealing from the bandits and brigands in order to survive. Ayden gained the trust of Deathor and was then proclaimed his lieutenant and Captain of The Mercenary Alliance.
"It was only by chance that I met him and it was a good chance. A casual role player and team member that makes any Fellowship or Kinship enjoyable.
